USPI Surgery Center of Boerne is seeking a motivated Surgical Tech to join our team. Situated just north of San Antonio. We have 3 OR rooms and 2 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Gastroenterology, General, Orthopedics. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. 

Job Summary: The Surgical Tech provides direct and indirect services to the surgical patient under the supervision of the professional nurse and performs tasks as necessary for the efficient and effective functioning of the operating room, as well as the delivery of quality of care. Monitors par level of surgical supplies. Maintains the proper functioning of surgical instruments. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments.

Required Skills:

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Completion of a Scrub Technician Program
  • CST certification
  • Two years’ experience as a Scrub Tech in multiple specialties or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • General familiarity with medical terminology as it pertains to anatomy and surgical procedures for an operating room.
