We are currently seeking a Lab Assistant to perform the following:
- Phlebotomy duties.
- Routine laboratory procedures related to preparing human biological samples for microbiological, hematological, and chemical analysis.
- Performs routine and stat laboratory testing, including (but not necessarily limited to) CBC, BMP, CMP, PT, PTT, UA, PFA, rapid flu, rapid strep, occult blood, hCG, and hemoglobin A1c testing.
- Scanning of documents into patients’ charts in Cerner.
- Other duties as needed by laboratory director or supervisor.
Required Skills:
·High School diploma or equivalent
·Associate Degree or higher in related field from an accredited college or university preferred
·At least one year experience in Laboratory setting
·Phlebotomy certification or eligible preferred.
·Knowledge of governmental and regulating policies/standards.
·Basic computer skills.
·Ability to detect color and color changes.
·BLS by AHA or obtain within 30days from hire date
