United Surgical Partners International, Inc. (the “Company”) specializes in the operation of ambulatory surgery centers and related businesses in the United States and is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst – Financial Planning and Analysis to work in the corporate office located in Farmers Branch, Texas. This position reports to the Director, Financial Planning and Analysis and has the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of the annual budget:
  • Develop and manage planning calendar and process timeline
  • Liaise inter-departmentally to ensure alignment of annual target
  • Import budgets not administered in Adaptive Planning directly into Oracle
  • Oversee and manage the continued development of Adaptive Planning, the company’s budgeting and forecasting tool:
  • Run process to import actuals into Adaptive on a monthly basis
  • Create new versions of budget/forecast as needed
  • Make organization changes, add new facilities to organization hierarchy as needed
  • Update account mappings as needed
  • Run process to export budget from Adaptive and import into Oracle
  • Make changes/updates to input sheets, reports, formulas as needed
  • Recommend improvements to processes, reports and tools
  • Manage process and perform monthly changes to budget for ownership changes, acquisitions, mergers, structure changes, etc.
  • Maintain, improve and build budget and forecast models, templates and analytical tools:
  • Update and maintain support files used in 5-year model
  • Perform analysis and reporting of monthly/quarterly/annual financial results:
  • Update supporting financial schedules used for monthly executive memo, monthly review package and other deliverables
  • Partner with accounting to facilitate variance analysis and alignment of financial reporting, budget and forecasts
  • Highlight drivers of actual performance versus budget, forecast and prior year for income statement, free cash flow and capital expenditures
  • Support and manage integration process of onboarding surgery centers new to the portfolio:
  • Liaise with Development team to support onboarding of new centers
  • Manage weekly communications to new centers
  • Manage weekly status updates from key stakeholders
  • Support the preparation of executive, board and investor presentations
  • Complete ad hoc projects and analysis as needed



Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Advanced proficiency using Oracle and MS Office including PowerPoint, Excel and Word is mandatory
  • Effective communication skills with all levels in the organization, with strong verbal, written and executive level presentation skills
  • Ability to think independently and work through complex tasks
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and a strong desire to learn
  • Quick learner with the capacity to work within tight deadlines
  • Desire to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree (or equivalent) in finance, accounting or a related field
  • Minimum of four years' experience in finance or related functions, balanced between financial analysis, general accounting, and budgeting/forecasting responsibilities
