Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Frisco is seeking a motivated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team.
Shift - 3:00p to 11:30p Monday - Friday
Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or Equivalent (GED) required
- Certification CRCST through IAHCSMM, or CRSPT through CBSPD required within 6 months of hire.
- 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
- Experience with all types of sterilizers.
- Knows operating room instrumentation.
- Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
- Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
- Understands Low Temperature Sterrad sterilizers.
- Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
- Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
