Responsibilities

Full-Time PreOp PACU RN

Location: Gastro One - 1310 Germantown, TN

Position Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Occasional Saturdays may be required

Gastro One is a premier healthcare provider specializing in gastroenterology services. Our mission is to deliver compassionate care and exceptional outcomes to our patients, setting the standard for gastrointestinal health.

Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced PreOp PACU RN to join our team on a full-time basis. As a PreOp PACU RN, you will play a crucial role in preparing patients for procedures and ensuring their safe recovery post-operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preoperative assessments and preparations for patients scheduled for procedures
  • Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the physician
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and postoperative recovery progress
  • Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management interventions
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and their families about postoperative care and recovery instructions

Required Skills:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Must have at least 2-5 years' of nursing experience
  • Must have current BLS and ACLS
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
  • Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.
