Radiology Technologist
Job Details
The Radiology Technologist works with our Pain Management physician assisting in various pain management procedures. Responsible for taking images and ensuring a safe environment in the procedure room for patients and employees.
Expectations for the procedure room:
- Manipulate/operate C-arm, position C-arm to physician's specifications
- Protects patient, self, and other staff from radiation hazards
- Documents patient radiology dose/time exposed in appropriate logs
- Institutes trouble shooting measures, recognizes equipment malfunctions and communicates them with clinical director
- Assists in the turn over of the procedure room in between every case (including clean up and preparing for the next patient)
- Maintain clean work/patient environment
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Required Skills:
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology.
- AART Registered and CPR Current.
- Knowledgeable of local, state, federal and Joint Commission Regulations.
- Must possess independent decision making skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients and families.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way.
