Arizona Spine and Joint Hospital is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team. Arizona Spine and Joint Hospital is a physician owned hospital, specializing in orthopedic surgeries.

Under the supervision of the Plant Operations Manager, the Plant Operations Assistant is responsible for the operation and maintenance of hospital facilities, equipment and property.

Areas of Responsibility to Include (but not limited to):

  • Monitors and maintains facility log books and all documentation in accordance with Joint Commission standards.
  • Emergency Generator operation and preventive maintenance knowledge.
  • Building maintenance knowledge and skill set which may include minor electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, drywall repairs, painting, phone systems, IT systems, and basic computer skills which include the use of work order software system.
  • Experience and knowledge in working in a Hospital environment with patients, clean rooms, and sub-sterile rooms.
  • Able to respond to emergency callbacks within 45 minutes maximum. 
  • Perform on-call service on a rotating schedule and respond promptly to emergencies.
  • Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned. 
  • Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.
  • Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
  • Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned.
  • Responsible for cleaning work area, tools and equipment.
  • Responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment.

Required Skills:
  • Hospital experience required
  • On call rotation required
  • HVAC knowledge and ability to operate HVAC equipment.
  • Boiler operators certificate and knowledge and skill set to operate and perform minor maintenance.

Physical Requirements:

  • May be expected to lift us to 25 pounds or up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • May be expected to push or pull 150-300 pounds with assistance.
  • Work is of high demand; sitting, walking and standing most of the time while on duty.
