Position Summary
The EHR Analyst will be a member of the USPI Electronic Health Record’s project team representing Saint Thomas Hospital for Specialty Surgery. The EHR Analyst will be the primary liaison and support for the EHR. The EHR Analyst will be involved in project activities such as clinical workflow evaluations and integrated use of business and clinical applications; clinical application usability; clinical application design and testing, build and implementation; clinical process and technology education for support of staff and providers who use the electronic health record.
Responsibilities
- In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting our EHR systems, ensuring their efficient and effective use by our healthcare providers
- Provide technical support for electronic health record (EHR) systems used by healthcare providers
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to EHR system functionality and usability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement enhancements to the EHR system
- Train and educate healthcare providers on how to effectively use the EHR system
- Monitor and analyze EHR system performance and make recommendations for improvement
- Ensure compliance with regulations and standards related to EHR systems
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in EHR technology
- Develop and maintain documentation for EHR system processes and procedures
- Assist with system testing and validation to ensure accuracy and functionality
- Act as a liaison between healthcare providers and EHR system vendors
- Participate in meetings and discussions related to EHR system updates and changes
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve EHR system usage and efficiency

Required Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of TN
- At least 2 years clinical experience
- Strong technology skills and interest
- Working knowledge of hospital processes
- Working collaboratively, efficiently, and respectfully with all to promote teamwork and a positive, productive work environment
- Ability to recognize and escalate situations as deemed necessary.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and uphold confidentiality
- Outstanding customer service skills
