Orlando Ophthalmology Surgery Center is a busy eyes-only surgery center located near the Orlando Health Downtown Campus. We are an affiliate of United Surgical Partners International and our mission is to treat each patient and every family as if they were our own. We are currently searching for an Orderly / Patient Transporter to join our team. The Orderly / Patient Transporter provides patient care by assisting patients with ambulation and transport. Maintains a clean and orderly patient care environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a clean and orderly patient care environment.
  • Demonstrating primary goal of efficiency and meeting customer expectations.
  • Providing assistance with changing linens, stocking the patient care areas and transporting patients upon discharge.
  • Assisting with support duties as required.
  • Complying with policies and procedures and provides a safe work environment.
  • Completing CPR certification within 30 days of hire.

Required Skills:

Includes but not limited to:
Qualifications:

1.  Able to read, write, type at a level generally acquired through completion of High School
2.  Graduation from High School or equivalent GED
3   Maintains effective communication with patients, families and members of the health care team
4.  Customer Service oriented a must

Physical:

1.  Standing for long periods of time
2   Lifting up to 50 lbs.
3.  Pulling and pushing carts, stretcher
4.  Stooping and stretching
