Responsibilities

Arizona Specialty Hospital in Phoenix has a need for the following position

$5K SOB Available

 Pre-op/Pacu RN 

  • Under the direct supervision of the Peri-op Services Manager and the Pre-Op/PACU Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients’ condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times reflecting the mission, ethics and goals of the hospital.
  • The RN assists the physicians in the patient care areas with various tasks, conscious sedation and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate.

The RN is responsible for implementing the Pre-Surgical Checklist, the Post Anesthesia Care record, nursing care plan, the assimilation of the patient’s hospital record, and safe discharge or transition to the next appropriate level of care.

Required Skills:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in a hospital setting
  • Critical Care experience preferred
  • Current Arizona Nursing License
  • Current BLS and ACLS and PALS required.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Good organization habits. 

Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery
