Sterile Processing Tech PRN
Responsibilities
Surgical Specialists at Princeton has an opening for a PRN Sterile Processing Tech to join the team!
Schedule: Minimum 2 shifts / month
Job Summary: The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
Required Skills:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred.
- 1 year of Sterile Processing experience.
- GI Scope Processing experience.
- Experience with all types of sterilizers.
- Knows operating room instrumentation.
- Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
- Understands operation of steam/gravity sterilizer.
- Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
- Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed.
- Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.
