As a Total Joint Coordinator, you will be the driving force behind optimizing the patient experience for individuals undergoing joint replacement procedures. Your role will encompass a blend of patient advocacy, process enhancement, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
USPI St. Mary's Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with extensive orthopedic experience to join our team as the Total Joint CoordinatorRN.
Job Summary:
The Total Joint RN is responsible for the development, coordination and maintenance of the care continuum for total joint replacement patients. The Total Joint RN provides leadership for all aspects of the continuum of care beginning before surgery through post op; including Pre-Admission Testing, Periop Services, inpatient units, post-acute care and all other applicable entities within the orthopedic service line related to evidence-based practice for orthopedic patients. The Total Joint RN will assist in the planning, development, and implementation of program goals and operations. The Total Joint RN coordinates and oversees the ongoing disease-specific certification process to continually improve care for the orthopedic patient population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient-Centric Care:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients undergoing joint replacement procedures.
- Provide personalized preoperative and post-operative education to patients, ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of their treatment journey.
- Collaborative Leadership:
- Foster a seamless partnership between orthopedic surgeons, nursing staff, and other involved parties to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Lead interdisciplinary meetings to review patient progress and address any potential challenges.
- Innovative Process Enhancement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline the patient care pathway, optimizing efficiency and patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement novel approaches to pain management, rehabilitation, and patient engagement.
- Data-Driven Excellence:
- Collect and analyze data related to patient outcomes, patient satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Utilize insights to continually improve the total joint program and elevate patient care standards.
- Patient Advocacy:
- Serve as a vocal advocate for patients, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.

Required Skills:
- Current RN license required.
- Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience as an RN.
- Clinical background with experience in orthopedics or related field.
