Responsibilities
Job Title:Radiology Technician
Sign on Bonus $5000.00
Job Summary: Responsible for performing high quality radiographs. He / she shall strive to minimize patient wait time in the department and shall do his / her best to educate patients / families about procedures being performed. Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiently providing surgical services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations.
Reporting Relationship:Reports to the Clinical Director
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:The following description of the job responsibilities and performance expectations are intended to reflect the major responsibilities of the job, but is not intended to describe the minor duties or other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time. 1.Performs all radiographic procedures as written in Policy and Procedure Manual.
2.Participates in development of Policies and Procedures within the department.
3.Performs high quality radiology work.
4.Notifies department director of equipment/machine malfunction.
5.Adheres to Policies and Procedures as defined by Infection Control.
6.Demonstrates knowledge of filing, and logging in of x-rays.
7.Demonstrates knowledge of reporting system of radiology findings to physician.
8.Participates in Performance Improvement Plan.
9.Serves as a resource to other members of the health care team.
10.Acts in accordance with the vision, mission, and business philosophy of the Center.
11.Maintains patient, physician, and employee privacy and confidentiality per policy.
12.Follows the Center's professional conduct and dress code policy.
13.Communicates effectively and courteously with visitors, physicians and their office staffs, patients and employees.
14.Assists with other responsibilities of Center as deemed necessary by management.
Required Skills:
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology.
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience preferred.
- AART Registered
- Knowledgeable of local, state, federal and Joint Commission Regulations.
- Must possess independent decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients and families.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way.
Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Education and Experience:
1-2 years experience in C-Arm and Portable x-rays in operating room setting.
