Responsibilities
Old Tesson Surgery Centeris seeking a motivated Pre/PACU Registered Nurse to join our team. Old Tesson Surgery Center is a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. The RN cares for patients from ages 24 months to geriatric. The RN has the responsibility to plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the pre or post surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care.
Job Summary:
The RN Pre-op/PACU is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN Pre-op/PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN Pre-op/PACU supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The RN Pre-op/PACU reports to the Clinical Director.

Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current BLS
- ACLS and PALS preferred or included in education plan.
- Experience in Pre-Op/PACU or ICU. Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.
- Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
- Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
- Ability to care for patients from toddler\ to geriatrics
- Knowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
- Excellent teaching skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrate strong professional and ethical behavior
- Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients, physicians and physician office staff
- Strong customer service skills
- Demonstrate accountability, creativity, innovation and be receptive to change
- Possess basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
