Medical Assistant & Patient Transporter- FT

We are consistently growing our business, and are seeking to add a Full-time (FT) Medical Assistant (MA) / Patient Transporter to our team. This position will have a key focus in facilitating patient flow in our procedure rooms.

 Responsibilities and Duties

What We Need:

 A Medical Assistant / PT to support our clinical operations in the following areas:

  • Managing procedure room(s) to ensure the rooms are prepped and ready for patients, including room turnovers, stocking supplies, cleaning, etc.
  • Managing patient flow to/from procedure room(s), and assists with patient transport and positioning for procedures
  • Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiency, while providing services that exceed customer expectations, and improving clinical and financial operation
  • Assists with patient care within the MA scope of practice
  • Pulls case materials and stages in appropriate areas
  • Understands principles of aseptic sterile technique and their implementation
  • Willing to learn sterile processing of instruments
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly


Required Skills:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant
  • One (1) year previous clinical experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment, with the ability to problem solve with minimal direction or guidance
  • Proven history as a team player
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in providing exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, and team
  • Full range of physical mobility (position requires sustained standing, stooping, lifting as much as 100 lbs., carrying, repetitive motions, reading, sitting, etc.)
  • Prefer experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Prefer experience with medical software programs such as Advantx, Amkai, or Epic
  • Efficient use of resources
  • Willingness to maintain a clean, organized environment
  • Consistent, reliable attendance
