Job Summary:

  • Working as an Operating Room OR Support Technician at New Mexico Orthopaedic Surgery Center you will be part of a care team that takes pride and responsibility in the care of the Orthopaedic patient. 
  • Performs a variety of general tasks which include, cleaning and turn-over of OR suites between cases, cleaning medical equipment, hallways, floors, walls, restrooms, locker rooms, kitchen and storage areas. Trash and linen removal from OR suites and related areas. 
  • Making of stretchers and OR beds to specific requirements.
  • Receiving and storage of medical supplies, requesting of janitorial supplies, and patient transport.

Required Skills:

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Current CPR. 
  • Demonstrates ability to work as a team member and to communicate directly and professionally. 
  • Is flexible, reliable, productive, patient-oriented, and self-motivated. 
  • Portrays the facility in a positive light to others. 
  • Avoids being involved in gossip spreading or conversations that promote discord of staff members. 
  • Maintains professional conduct and appearance.  
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. 
  • Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients, physicians, and other employees.
  • Shall be physically able to stand, walk, and maintain varied body motions and positions for long periods of time. 
  • Capable of overhead and low reaching. 
  • Physical strength for equipment needs and patient care activities.  Shall be able to move up to 100 pounds.
