Radiology Technologists are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. Their role requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment. Radiology Technologists are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Their ability to maintain a professional approach while providing nursing care is critical in ensuring positive patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families informed. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op. Responsibilities
New Mexico Surgery Center - Orthopaedics, located at: 8300 Constituion Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110:
No Weekends! No Call! Paid Holidays!
Responsible for performing high quality radiographs.
He / she shall strive to minimize patient wait time in the department and shall do his / her best to educate patients / families about procedures being performed.
Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiently providing surgical services and pain intervention procedures that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations.
Required Skills:
a) Performs all radiographic procedures as written in Policy and Procedure Manual.
b) Notifies department director of equipment/machine malfunction.
c) Follows policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for Radiology Tech according to accepted standards.
d) Adheres to Policies and Procedures as defined by Infection Control.
e) Maintains and demonstrates current skills and knowledge of all radiographic procedures
f) Demonstrates knowledge of reporting system of radiology findings to physician.
g) Serves as a resource to other members of the health care team.
h) Acts in accordance with the vision, mission, and business philosophy of the Center.
i) Maintains patient, physician, and employee privacy and confidentiality per policy.
j) Follows the Center's professional conduct and dress code policy.
k) Communicates effectively and courteously with visitors, physicians, patients and employees.
l) Assists with other responsibilities of Center as deemed necessary by management.
Required Experience:
High school graduate or GED.
Graduate of an approved school of radiology technician.
Currently certified in the state. BLS certification.
One year experience required.
Familiar with medical terminology.
