New Mexico Surgery Center Multi-Specialty, Downtown is a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.
Job Summary: Interface with visitors, patients, family, and physicians on phone and in person.
Responsibilities:
- Operates telephone system including receiving incoming calls, taking messages, identify nature of business and call.
- Performs clerical duties including distribution of mail and messages, monitoring office supplies, and maintaining postage meter.
- Assist with chart preparation.
- Assist with Admissions. Check in pre-op patients. Copy identification and insurance. Communication with Pre-Op nursing staff.
- Collect patient responsibility as determined by the Insurance Verifier.
- Provide relief to Admitting, Office Assistant, and Scheduling as required.
- Under the direction of the Front End Supervisor, this position is responsible for daily maintenance of the patient registration, patient check in, collections of financial responsibility and all aspects of the patient access process.

- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way
- Ability to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet high-paced demand
- Show a genuine desire to work and improve the center as a whole
- Professional appearance
- Must demonstrate exceptional customer service skills
- Must have the skills necessary to operate office equipment that are required to fulfill job duties
Required Experience:
- Minimum 2-4 years of medical office experience preferred
