At New Mexico Surgery Center Multi-Specialty, we believe health and care are inseparable. We focus on offering a high quality, service oriented environment for your surgical procedure. With 8 Operating Rooms and 1 Treatment Room, our technology allows surgeons to perform procedures in the specialty areas of: Dental/Oral Surgery, Ear, Nose & Throat, General Surgery, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic Surgery, Urology.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Nurse Manager is responsible for departmental functions in support of the center mission, vision, and facility goals. This position establishes effective working relationships with patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors. The Nurse Manager identifies and remedies variances through continuous customer satisfaction and employee involvement. The Nurse Manager works with Senior Management in meeting center goals. Oversees Pre-op/PACU; assists in Pre-op/PACU as necessary.

  • Responsibilities: Competencies and responsibilities associated with each position are a combination of hospital-wide and department-specific standards. The department specific standards include the competencies appropriate to the ages of the customer served. The employee's competencies are evaluated on an on-going basis and formally documented at least annually as part of the Performance Appraisal process.

Required Skills:

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Two (2) year's experience in surgery management that must include pre-op, intra-op, post-op care with total joint and spine experience.
  • Licenses/Certifications/ Registrations
  • Current New Mexico RN License
  • BLS & ACLS Certification required
