Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) – Cath Lab to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring seamless surgical and patient care operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering exceptional care, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement physician orders and provide continuous, high-quality nursing care with ongoing patient evaluation
  • Maintain patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times
  • Assist physicians in the procedure room, including conscious sedation and sterile technique
  • Obtain supplies for individual cases and ensure all Cath Lab needs are met
  • Perform cardiac assessments per Cath Lab policy and conduct reassessments as needed
  • Identify, evaluate, and correct errors, adapting quickly to changes in patient condition
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and ethical behavior
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians, and employees
  • Contribute to performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current Texas RN license
  • Current BLS; ACLS required or obtainable
  • Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting required
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient care management
  • Solid understanding of aseptic technique
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity, accountability, and adaptability

  • Basic knowledge of performance improvement principles.

Required Experience:
  • Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting is required.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Prior experience in ambulatory surgery or hospital settings advantageous
  • Familiarity with procedure room setup, instrumentation, and patient monitoring
  • Experience collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams in a high-acuity environment
