Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Brazoria is a state-of-the-art outpatient surgical facility in Angleton, Texas, featuring four operating rooms and two treatment rooms. Our advanced technology supports a wide range of specialties including Gastroenterology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Otolaryngology, Pain Management, Podiatry, General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and Urology. We take pride in providing high-quality, efficient, and compassionate care in a comfortable setting.

We’re looking for a friendly and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This role is the first point of contact for our patients, visitors, and vendors — and plays an essential part in creating a welcoming, professional atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Verify patient information, insurance details, and required documentation prior to appointments
  • Answer incoming phone calls, schedule procedures, and direct inquiries appropriately
  • Collect co-pays and ensure accurate posting of patient payments
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient records in compliance with HIPAA standards
  • Support the business office and clinical team with administrative tasks as needed
  • Assist with patient flow to ensure timely and efficient operations throughout the day

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in a healthcare front desk, medical office, or customer service setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both in person and over the phone
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic office software
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor and a team-oriented mindset

Required Skills:
  • Excellent customer service and patient engagement skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficient in scheduling, data entry, and medical documentation
  • Knowledge of insurance verification and payment processing

Required Experience:
  • 1–2 years in a medical office or surgery center front desk role preferred
  • Experience with patient registration, scheduling, and EMR systems highly valued
