Overview
Orderly FTs are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. Their role requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment. Orderly FTs are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Their ability to maintain a professional approach while providing nursing care is critical in ensuring positive patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families informed. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op. We are seeking an Orderly to join our Operating Room team!!
Orderly at Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington:
·Under the direct supervision of the OR RN Coordinator and OR Director, the Orderly is responsible for support services as well as specific elements of direct patient care given in the Surgical Department.
·The Orderly assists with surgery flow (turnover of surgical suites), assures that adequate supplies are available as needed, cleaning, trash disposal, and any other duties assigned by his/her Coordinator or the Director of Surgical Services.
