Atherton, California Pacific Endoscopy, LLC (15002)Atherton Endoscopy Center is seeking a motivated full time Endoscopy Charge Nurse to join our team.

Under general direction from Center Manager, the Charge Nurse provides professional nursing care through assessment, planning, treatment and evaluation of the patient. The registered nurse is responsible for delivering safe, knowledgeable, compassionate, educative and individualized nursing care to patients and families.
Key duties include:
- Supervises the staff to provide a daily smooth flow of cases.
- Prepares monthly staffing schedules and assignments.
- Prepare, coordinate and perform daily huddle and quarterly staff meetings.
- Communicate effectively with administrator and physicians to resolve issues and provide efficiency.
- Assists with education by coordinating and/or giving in-services.
- Performs required staff trainings and competencies.
- Ensures life safety and other requirements are performed by staff.
- Oversees quality improvement and benchmarking activities.
- Oversees infection prevention activities and training.
- Works closely with materials and sterile processing to coordinate supplies & instrument needs.
- Prepares and administers annual evaluations.
- Works closely with manager with hiring and orienting staff members.
- Helps in revising and preparing policies.
- Assistance in maintaining compliance for surveys.
- Assistance with staff counseling as necessary.
- Coordinates and assists in Performance Improvement Projects.

The pay range for this position is $68.00 - $80.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Required Skills:
- Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
- Baccalaureate degree preferred or work related experience.
- Three (3) years experience in endoscopy nursing.
- One (1) year management experience
- Current California RN License
- BLS & ACLS required
- Independent decision making skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, families and vendors.
