USPI Northwest Surgery Centeris seeking a motivated Insurance Verifier to join our team. Conveniently located on the Ascension Seton Northwest Hospital campus. We have 7 OR rooms and 1 Procedure room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Pain Management, Podiatry, Urology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

Job Summary:
Validating and entering patient information and insurance coverage into the appropriate computer system.
Verify insurance benefits by reviewing our contract and patient’s quoted benefits.
Determine co-pay.
Post all insurance and billing comments.
Enter all information into the patient accounting system.
Contact patients regarding money due prior to the date of surgery.

Qualifications: 

• High School education and/or equivalent
• Minimum two years previous experience hospital or ASC insurance verification required.
• Must have the ability to effectively present information
• Basic math skills
• Computer competency
