Responsibilities
Under general direction of the Center Manager and the Medical Director, the RN is responsible for admitting the patient to the center, assisting the Physician and monitoring the patient during the procedure and recovering the patient post procedure. In addition, the nurse is in charge of maintaining the crash cart.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports clinical operations of the Center according to policies, protocols, orders and regulations.
- Utilizes Center data and comparative information and principles of continuous quality improvement to drive improvement in Center results.
- Works closely with the Center’s Manager and other staff to assure all clinical aspects of care delivered at the Center meet established standards. Through Center staff, works with attending physicians to implement specific patient care orders and protocols.
- Directs and assists other staff to manage supplies and inventory to assure that the necessary supplies and equipment are available for patient care needs. Utilizes company processes to assure appropriate accounting and internal controls are maintained for ordering and receiving materials and equipment.
- Demonstrates effective leadership and communication skills in order to motivate otherassociates. Participates in regular staff meetings with center associates to enable effectivecommunication.
- Works with Center Manager and other staff to continually meet requirements of State Licensure, CMS Conditions of Participation and accrediting organizations positive and caring attitude.
- Provides a systemic approach in working with patient grievances and Center Manager to resolve any issues of patient care.
- Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
Pay range: Min $46- Max $50

Required Skills:
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience in outpatient ambulatory surgery center preferably in a Pain Management Center
- Ideally possess a working knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment impacting ASC’s, and the applicable standards of the AAAHC, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory bodies for ambulatory surgery centers
- Able to use personal computer, including word processing, spreadsheet, and email/calendar functions for day-to-day activities.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with physicians and all medical professionals.
- Holds current clinical license, registration or certification from the applicable authority.
- BCLS certified.
- ACLS certified or willing to be become ACLS certified with center specified time period.
- Pass pre-employment background check, drug screening and health tests as specified per state.
