Lead the transformation of healthcare as the Regional Vice President (RVP) for Ambulatory Surgery Centers in Maryland. This influential position offers a unique chance to drive growth, forge innovative partnerships, and shape the direction of multiple centers. You will oversee operations, financial management, and strategic partnerships while creating a culture of safety delivering exceptional patient care.
As the RVP, you will play a key role in driving case volume growth and EBITDA, while actively recruiting top surgeons and strengthening relationships with existing physician partners. Your leadership will propel expansion efforts, fostering a high-performing culture and ensuring minimal employee turnover. In this role, you’ll also champion operational efficiency, improve patient outcomes, and implement strategies that drive long-term success all centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Design and implement ambitious business plans for each facility, collaborating closely with Surgery Center Administrators to ensure objectives are achieved and regularly reviewed at the board level.
- Driving Growth: Accelerate case growth by attracting top surgeons’ talent, optimizing partnerships with healthcare systems, and launching new service lines that drive revenue growth and enhance profitability.
- Leadership Development: Develop and mentor future healthcare leaders by providing comprehensive training in HR, finance, and communications, ensuring a robust leadership pipeline and effective succession plans for all key roles.
- Partnership Excellence: Proactively oversee physician equity and succession planning while enhancing partnerships with health systems through transparent communication and focus on shared success.
- Cultural Excellence: Champion USPI's EDGE and leadership initiatives by implementing programs such as BeSafe and BeKind to foster a culture of safety, enhance patient satisfaction, and create a workplace where leadership flourishes.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Must have OR Operations experience
- Prefer Master's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration; equivalent experience considered
- Minimum five years’ experience with exposure to healthcare business development & operations, finance and business consulting
- Demonstrated experience in developing growth strategies and a proven track record in people m management skills
- Excellent verbal, written and formal presentation communication skills; ability to work well with “C” level healthcare partners, physicians, employees, patients, and fellow workers
- Proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint with strong analytical and presentation skills
- Ability to effectively articulate financial results and respond to questions from hospital and physician partners
- Strong mathematical aptitude to assist with financial budgeting, reporting and analysis
Travel:
Up to 75% travel required (vehicle travel). Selected candidates will be required to pass a Motor Vehicle Record check.
Compensation:
- Pay: $200k-$300k annual base. Compensation depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
- Position is eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan bonus (35% to 40% at target depending on role level and performance).
- Position is also eligible for long term incentives
- Management level positions may be eligible for sign-on and relocation bonuses.
