Registered Nurse Quality Manager at Bristol Ambulatory Surgery Center:

·Coordinates all quality assessment and performance improvement activities

·Responsible for managing all functions related to the credentialing of the professional staff at the Center.

·Manages all employee health related functions.

·These duties are in addition to the regular duties assigned to the individual for their specific job category.

Qualifications

Education:

·Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Licensure/Certification:                              

·Registered Nurse with unrestricted TN license

·BLS Required

·Current ACLS certification

Required Experience:

·Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

·Responsible for aligning quality improvement efforts and resources around clinical excellence, peer review, and compliance with state and federal regulations.

·Ensures appropriate data management is reported to CMS for pay-for-reporting metrics. Assists in evaluating new products, techniques and/or methods and provides appropriate feedback for improvement purposes.

·Knowledgeable of facility Performance Improvement Program, and role of department and individual employee.

·Works with facility leadership to ensure all staff are oriented

·Aggregate performance improvement findings for presentation to Medical Staff and Professional Activities Committee.

·Participate on Performance Improvement teams to improve processes whenever possible.

·Implements actions, as appropriate, recommended by Performance Improvement teams.

·Knowledgeable of identification and reporting of a Sentinel Event.

·Maintains knowledge of regulatory requirement (State and CMS) and accreditation standards related to Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement.

·Ensures the professional staff of the Center has the appropriate credentials and licenses in accordance with the requirements of the State, Medicare, and the bylaws of the Center. Develops reports for internal use and generates all letters required by the credentialing process.

·Works with National Practitioner Data Bank and the American Medical Association in credentialing the physician’s other providers.
