PACU Manager
The PACU Manager provides nursing care within state standards of practice and the policies of the Surgery Center.Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to other team members. Helps maintain equipment, supplies, and cleanliness of unit as a whole.May have additional responsibilities as designed by the Clinical Director/Administrator, which include, but are not limited to, providing patient care in other departments (after being oriented and educated), serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits, and projects.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
- Active RN license in PA
- BLS and ACLS Required
- One year experience required intra-operative setting.
- Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
- Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
- Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
