USPI Arizona Specialty Surgery Center is a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. Job Summary: 

The Clinical Director is responsible for management of the clinical departments of the ASC.  The CD is responsible for the quality of patient care and ensures that sufficient and properly prepared personnel carry out these functions.  The CD is knowledgeable of social, economic and legal issues affecting the health care systems and seeks all opportunities for keeping staff up-to-date in health care practices. Develops and directs the implementation, and ensures compliance of Standards of Nursing Practice that promote optimum health care delivery.

The CD is responsible for all departmental functions in support of the center mission, vision, values, and facility goals.  The CD identifies the cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, resource availability and changes in customers.  This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees and vendors.  The CD identifies and remedies issues through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement.  The CD works with other Senior Management in meeting hospital goals.

Required Skills:

Education, Licenses/Certification, Skills:

  • Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current Arizona RN license.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS.
  • At least five years of operating room/critical care experience.
  • At least two years clinical supervisory experience outpatient surgery area or acute care.
  • Demonstrates competence in management and leadership skills to develop and implement organizational strategies and opportunities for improving the delivery of care to patients.
  • Maintain current knowledge and adhere to appropriate regulatory standards (i.e. AAAHC, Medicare, Medicaid, employment regulations, Board of Nurse Examiners).
  • Possesses experiential qualification to meet the organization’s scope and complexity of nursing care for the major patient populations served.
