Full-Time OR Circulating RN

Physicians Surgery Center of Chattanooga is a Joint Commission-accredited, multispecialty ambulatory surgery center committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a service-focused environment. Our modern facility includes 4 operating rooms and 2 treatment rooms, supporting specialties such as GYN, ophthalmology, orthopedics, ENT, and retina. As a physician-owned center, we foster strong clinical collaboration to ensure exceptional surgical outcomes.

Job Summary

The OR Circulating Nurse, provides nursing care and service during surgery cases. The RN will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case. The ideal candidate will be experienced in the following surgical procedures in the following specialties: ophthalmology, orthopedics, otolaryngology and gynecology.

The ideal candidate will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multitask, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS, ACLS, or PALS as required by the center
• A minimum of 1 year experience working as a Circulator
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment

• Graduate of accredited school or professional nursing.
• Two (2) years experience in surgery.
• Current, unrestricted TN RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS required
• CNOR preferred
• Critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and families.
• Knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures specific to the operating room.
