Responsibilities
Millennium Surgical Center has an immediate need for a per diem Sterile Processing Tech! At Millennium Surgical Center, we believe health and care are inseparable. We focus on offering a high quality, service oriented environment for your surgical procedure. Our facility is accredited by The Joint Commission.
Job Summary: The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
Required Skills:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Completion of a Sterile Process Certification Program.
- CRCST or CSPDT certification required.
- 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience.
- Experience with all types of sterilizers.
- Knows operating room instrumentation.
- Understands operation of steam/gravity sterilizer.
- Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
- Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed.
- Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.
