Responsibilities
Surgery Center of Chevy Chase, is seeking a motivated OR Registered Nurse to join our team. Surgery Center of Chevy Chase is a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse, operating room, provides nursing care and service during surgery cases. The RN will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case. Experienced in surgical procedures in the following specialties: Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Currently licensed in the state. CPR required, advanced life support certification required.
- One year experience required intra-operative setting.
- Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
- Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.

Salary range: Min $45 to Max $59.64
Required Skills:
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Currently licensed in the state
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU or ICU
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Interdependent Partnering

- Ability to organize and follow through on own initiative.
- Ability to master new skills.
- Technical/Functional
- Thorough knowledge of all phases of perioperative process including knowledge of surgical procedures and anesthesia implications.
- Current nursing assessment and patient care skills.
- Telemetry experience necessary
- Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current license to practice nursing in the state.
- CPR certified. ACLS certification is required within 6 months of employment if not currently certified.
- Experience
- Critical Care or PACU experience preferred.

- Outpatient Surgery
- Physical demands (i.e. works on a computer, use of telephone, lifts up to 50 lbs.)
- Works on computer, uses telephone.
- Intermittent physical mobility/activity including walking, standing, sitting. Light lifting, pulling and pushing of carts, equipment, etc., Must be able to bend body downward at the waist, be able to kneel.
