Account Collector Representative at USPI
As an Account Collector Rep, you will play a critical role in managing patient accounts and ensuring timely reimbursement for services rendered. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in medical billing and collections, an emphasis on courtesy and customer service, demonstrate longevity in previous roles, and maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
·High School Diploma or GED required
·2+ years of collections experience, with experience in healthcare insurance collections
·Experience working with an Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) system preferred
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
·Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
·Strong communication and interpersonal skills
·Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize urgent matters
Key Responsibilities
·
·Perform timely and effective follow-up on outstanding patient accounts
·Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and third-party payers to resolve billing issues and inquiries
·Review and analyze accounts receivable reports to identify trends and implement corrective actions
·Utilize billing software and electronic medical record (EMR) systems to track payments and update patient records
·Collaborate with the billing team and other departments to streamline processes and optimize revenue cycle performance
