Safety Harbor Surgery Center is immediately hiring a Per Diem Business Office Specialist for a Monday-Friday day schedule!

Safety Harbor Surgery Center is a busy, multispecialty ambulatory surgery center in Clearwater, Florida that performs over 5,000 surgeries per year. Specialty areas include General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic Surgery, Pain Management, and Urology. We are an affiliate of United Surgical Partners International, and our mission is to treat each patient and every family as if they were our own. We are currently looking to add a Per Diem Business Office Specialist to add to our team. Under the direction of the Business Office Manager, is responsible for covering any aspect of the business office necessary. Many duties includes chart building, filing, medical records, medical record scanning and other clerical duties. The successful candidate will possess outstanding multi tasking abilities, communication and teamwork as well as the ability to keep up in a fast paced working environment. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate previous successful/positive customer service encounters or programs. 


Required Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way.
  • Ability to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet high-paced demand.
  • Show a genuine desire to work and improve the hospital as a whole.
  • Extreme multi-tasker
  • Strong medical terminology.
  • Must demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.
