Safety Harbor Surgery Center is hiring a Patient Care Technician for Preoperative/PACU

Surgical Technologist at Safety Harbor Surgery Center 

We are looking for a Patient Care Technician for our Surgery Center.

DESCRIPTION

Assist patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Required Skills:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • Medical Assistant, CNA, or clinical training preferred
  • One year experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified is preferred
  • Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories
  • Patient Interviewing skills
  • Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols
  • Knowledge of patient evaluation procedures
  • Ability to perform routine invasive procedures, such as venipuncture, and EKG
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
  • Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
