GI Technician Medical Assistant

Park Creek Surgery Center, is looking for a GI Technician Medical Assistant, Full Time

Jon Summary: under the Director of Nursing and the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the GI Tech is responsible for providing assistance to the Physician throughout the procedure.  

Education/Experience:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • GI Experience preferred, Medical Assistant experience  Preferred
  • Previous clinical experience in GI procedure room environment Preferred
  • Current certification in CPR.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license in the state
  • BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
  • 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
