Colorado Springs, Colorado Audubon Ambulatory Surgery Center (12720)Audubon Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. Our fast-paced ASC is committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.
Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Techniciancares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Computer skills, required
- CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred
- Six months of experience, preferred
- 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
- Experience with all types of sterilizers.
- Knows operating room instrumentation.
- Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
- Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
- Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
- Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed
- Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients, and physicians

Pay: $19.50 - $27.50

Required Skills:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma / GED; completion of a Scrub Technician Program. Certification preferable. Two years experience as a Scrub Tech in multiple specialties or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Reasoning Ability: Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Other skills and abilities: General familiarity with medical terminology as it pertains to anatomy and surgical procedures for an operating room.
