Sterile Processing Manager Job Summary:

Responsible for managing the daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department including, but not limited to, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating the daily activities of the department by working collaboratively with other departments as needed to ensure efficient, safe, and effective instrument and equipment availability. The manager will perform administrative functions as delegated by the Director of Surgical Services, such as supervision and evaluation of staff, managing instrument inventories, and providing required documentation and reporting.


Required Skills:

Sterile Processing Manager Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as Instrument Room Technician or equivalent experience in a hospital setting.3-5 years’ experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience. 2+ years preferred.
  • Current Sterile Processing Technician certification.
