Conroe Surgery Center is a fast-paced ambulatory surgical center (ASC) committed to delivering the highest quality surgical care and patient experience. We specialize in a variety of outpatient procedures across multiple specialties in a supportive and team-driven environment. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our OR team.

Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist is a key member of the surgical team, assisting surgeons and nurses in the operating room before, during, and after procedures. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on OR experience and be proficient in preparing surgical instruments, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting a smooth operative flow across various specialties.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain sterile surgical setups
  • Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
  • Ensure surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and properly maintained
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to facilitate efficiency
  • Follow infection control and safety standards at all times
  • Assist with room turnover and restocking of supplies
  • Collaborate with RNs and other surgical team members to provide optimal patient care

Required Skills:
  • Proficient in sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
  • Strong understanding of OR protocols and safety procedures
  • Ability to anticipate surgeon needs during procedures
  • Team-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail in fast-paced clinical settings
  • Comfortable working across various specialties and adapting to different procedures

Required Experience:
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an operating room setting
  • Familiarity with multiple specialties preferred (e.g., Orthopedics, ENT, General Surgery, GI, etc.)
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) is a plus
