USPI Texas Precision Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant/Transporter to join our team. With outpatient services performed in Glaucoma, LASIK, Cataracts, Dry Eyes. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.

Job Summary:  The Medical Assistant/Transporter provides direct patient care by assisting patients with changing linens, ambulation, and transport. Maintains a clean and orderly patient care environment. Assists during patient examinations and procedures. Obtains and records patient vital signs, provides nutritional intake and reports results and observations. Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiently providing surgical and/or procedural services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations. Employees may be cross trained in other clinical areas and may be expected to perform duties other than their normal ones' as staffing and patient needs change.

Required Skills:

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant or Patient Care Technician clinical training.
  • BLS certification required
  • One Year experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified.
