USPI Texas Orthopedic Center of Excellence is seeking a motivated Receptionist to join our team. We have 5 OR rooms and 1 Treatment room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in GI, Orthopedic, Pain. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 4:45am-1:45pm

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for extensive professional and telephone contact with physicians, physician’s office staff, patients, medical personnel, and nursing staff for gathering patient information and for patient preparation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Chart preparation for clinical utilization and medical record filing.
2. Telephone communication both internally and externally. Answers phones timely and professionally.
3. Greeting and communicating with patients and visitors to the Center.
4. Maintain an orderly and efficient front desk environment.
5. Provide adequate supplies for the office activities.
6. Communicate information to the Director and Office Manager as necessary.
7. Responsible for opening the Center and preparing for patients.
8. Reconcile petty cash daily.
9. Collect and post payments daily.
10. Collect and log anesthesia fees.
11. Back-up for Scheduling Coordinator.
12. Other duties as assigned; may include combination of positions and responsibilities.

Required Skills:

QUALIFICATIONS: 

1-3 years medical receptionist experience 
Maintain role responsibility and accountability.
Participate in the professional activities of the Center.
Ability to communicate effectively using proper channels.
Ability to relate well to people.
Maintain a professional appearance and manner.
Awareness of the importance of good interpersonal relations with allied health care professionals.
