Orthopedic Surgery Center of Creve Coeur, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a dedicated Medical Records Clerk to join our esteemed team. As a Medical Records Clerk, you will play a vital role in upholding our core beliefs of value, integrity, continuity, accessibility, and community engagement. 

Medical Records Representative at Orthopedic Surgery Center of Creve Coeur

The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for collecting, maintaining, and making available to authorized users timely, accurate and complete patient health information.

Ideal candidate will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-2 years of hospital or medical records experience required.
  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission Standards
  • Ability to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet high-paced demand.
  • Show a genuine desire to work and improve the center as a whole.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to adhere to hospital financial and admitting policies.
  • Ability to promote positive relationships with patients and staff.
  • Must know insurance verification and collection processes.
  • Must have problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Must demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.
