FACTS ABOUT NORTH CENTRAL: Opened in 2005, 14 Operating Rooms and 30 Medical/Surgical Patient Rooms.  We are conveniently located at Walnut Hill & 75 in the prestigious NorthPark area Specialties include: Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery, Pain Management, Urology, GI/Endoscopy, Plastic, Podiatry and Bariatric surgeries. Managed by United Surgical Partners International Joint Commission Accredited

We are currently looking for an Authorizations Analyst to join our team.

Job Summary:

  • Under general supervision of the Business Office Director, the Authorization Analyst is responsible for the obtaining, tracking and communication of evolving payer authorization requirements.
  • Responsible for reviewing payer requirements and obtain authorization or follow-up with physician offices.
  • Ensures the business office director is updated on requirements related to authorizations for hospital billing related services.
  • Actively supports the execution of strategic initiatives including root cause analysis metric/report development and special projects as it relates to authorization denials.
  • This position will interact with business office staff and the Central Services Organization (CSO) management and will report directly to the Business Office Director at North Central Surgical Center.


Required Skills:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Prefer 1-2 years’ experience obtaining hospital authorizations
  • One year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred.
  • Must have the skills necessary to operate the office equipment required to fulfill job duties.
  • Good communication skills and interpersonal relation skills
  • Must use independent judgment and adapt quickly to changing circumstances. 
  • Excellent time management skills.
