Position Overview:

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the Customer Service Supervisor helps perform technical and advanced collection procedures and supervise Patient Collection Specialists. The supervisor will ensure that Collectors complete their tasks within a timely and accurate manner, assisting and training as needed. Supervisors will serve as an extension of the Manager when necessary and assist in communication and coordination between the Manager and Collectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises ASC Collectors daily tasks to keep department on target.
  • Keep Manager apprised when coverage is needed and/or fill in as necessary.
  • Review accounts for bad debt.
  • Audit accounts worked by Collectors and provide feedback.
  • Responsible for accounts assigned as special projects.
  • Responsible for refund and adjustments from the collectors.
  • Participate in training new employees and/or retraining existing employees as needed.
  • Quality Audit accounts worked by Collectors and provide feedback during Monthly One on One.
  • Assist with Daily Team Huddle.

Required Skills:

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Five years previous collections experience; preferred.
  • Must have the skills necessary to operate the office equipment required to fulfill job duties.
  • Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills.
  • Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial.
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD codes
  • Excellent communication skills: written and verbal.
  • Experience using AdvantX, WayStar and Scan Chart.
