North Central Surgical Center (NCSC) is a highly successful, Baylor Scott & White affiliated hospital located in Dallas, TX.  We partner with the very best team members and medical staff in the area.  We are an elective surgical focused hospital that performs over 12,000 procedures per year. 

FACTS ABOUT NORTH CENTRAL: Opened in 2005, 14 Operating Rooms and 30 Medical/Surgical Patient Rooms.  We are conveniently located at Walnut Hill & I 75 in the prestigious North Park area. Specialties include Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery, Pain Management, Urology, GI/Endoscopy, Plastic, Podiatry and Bariatric surgeries. Managed by United Surgical Partners International. Joint Commission Accredited.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our Imaging Department team.

The Imaging Medical Assistant has the following responsibilities:

  • Check vitals before / after all procedural patients
  • Post care instructions after all procedural patients
  • Education prior before all myelograms
  • Patient transport down to the car for all myelogram and oral sedation patients
  • Prepare majority of the MRI patients and alert staff if/when there is a questionable implant
  • Alert RN or Tech when an IV is needed
  • Alert RN when oral sedation is needed prior to MRI and when patient vitals are not in the normal range
  • Checks the validity of all orders prior to consenting
  • Runs the blood sample for iSTAT for creatinine (IV contrast patients)
  • Disperses all clean linens in the AM
  • Stocks snack and drink supplies for the patients
  • Checks supplies monthly and identifies expired supplies

Procedural patients include: steroid injection, PRP, myelogram, aspiration


Required Skills:
  • High school student or graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous clinical experience preferred
  • Current certification in CPR
