Physical Therapy Technicians are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. Their role requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment. Physical Therapy Technicians are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Their ability to maintain a professional approach while providing nursing care is critical in ensuring positive patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families informed. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op. Responsibilities
North Central Surgical Center is a highly successful, Baylor Scott & White affiliated hospital located in Dallas, TX. We partner with the very best team members and medical staff in the area. We are a surgical focused hospital that performs over 12,000 procedures per year.
FACTS ABOUT NORTH CENTRAL: Opened in 2005, 14 Operating Rooms and 30 Medical/Surgical Patient Rooms. We are conveniently located at Walnut Hill & 75 in the prestigious North Park area. Specialties include: Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery, Pain Management, Urology, GI/Endoscopy, Plastic, and Podiatry surgeries. Managed by United Surgical Partners International & Joint Commission Accredited.
The Physical Therapy Technician is a trained healthcare technician who works under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapy Manager/Director and/or other staff therapists to assist in supervision of patient care. Trained in clerical responsibilities and departmental housekeeping.
Schedule is: Monday: 12p - 6p & Tuesday thru Friday 9a - 6p
Required Skills:
- Previous experience preferred or currently seeking a degree in a related healthcare field
- Current BLS certification preferred
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to follow directions and perform multiple tasks
