Responsibilities
North Central Surgical Center Hospital (NCSC) is a highly successful, Baylor Scott & White affiliated hospital located in Dallas, TX. We partner with the very best team members and medical staff in the area. We are an elective surgical focused hospital that performs over 12,000 procedures per year.
FACTS ABOUT NORTH CENTRAL: Opened in 2005, 14 Operating Rooms and 30 Medical/Surgical Patient Rooms. We are conveniently located at Walnut Hill & I 75 in the prestigious North Park area. Specialties include Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery, Pain Management, Urology, GI/Endoscopy, Plastic, and Podiatry Surgeries. Managed by United Surgical Partners International. Joint Commission Accredited.
North Central Surgical Center is currently seeking an RN Quality Coordinator to join the team in the Quality & Risk Management Department. The Quality Coordinator will provide assistance with all aspects of Quality, Risk Management, Patient Safety, Infection Prevention & Control, and Employee Health under the direction of the Director of Quality and Risk Management.
- Manages the Policy and Procedure flow through the organization.
- Manages the hospital’s Core Measure data abstraction and reporting to PCC.
- Performs OPPE data review and prepares summary report for physician leadership.
- Analyzes data provided from a variety of metrics such as departmental metrics and QAPI auditing.
- Assists with preparation of Joint Commission reports.
- Assists in the preparation for Patient Care Committee and other QAPI meetings, as needed and maintain meeting minutes.
- Creates and delivers educational presentations for identified learning needs related to QAPI.
- Assists in assuring the department is compliant with the standards of regulatory agencies.
- Assists Director of Quality & Risk Management, as needed.
- Is supportive of departmental and hospital goals.
- Performs special projects for the CFO/COO, CNO, and CEO.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Position Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- A minimum of two years of progressive clinical experience, hospital experience preferred
- A minimum of one year experience in Quality/Risk/Performance Improvement preferred
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in Texas.
- Current BLS
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with physicians as well as with facility employees.
- Must possess the ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
