The Regional Director is responsible for ensuring best practice and optimal revenue cycle results for assigned CBO clients, with direct oversight of 100+ clients. The Regional Director is accountable to client and employee satisfaction, KPI and other client performance results and collaborating internally and externally to drive revenue cycle and reimbursement initiatives.The Regional Director must have the ability to navigate a complex, multi-level leadership structure within the USPI network to achieve performance. This role develops an environment and culture that embraces continuous improvement and innovation to ensure best practices are achieved in all areas of the revenue cycle. They will lead a team of Directors to ensure the RCM departments maximize the collectability of the services performed. Ensuring that internal policies and practices support the operational quality, efficiency, and compliance of all standard practices. They will coordinate with other cross functional areas that impact or support RCM to ensure appropriate collaboration and system wide efficiency of operations while providing oversight and leadership development for direct reports.
Duties primarily include:
- Lead CBO-wide revenue cycle initiatives from ideation to completion, including timeline, resource planning, key deliverables, outcomes, and transition plans.
- Assists in plan development and executes CBO-wide directives to improve key performance metrics, including though not limited to, timely and accurate billing, high volume collections, reduction to total AR balances, and timely cash application processes.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures and work instructions aligning functional teams and leadership around these goals, in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Develops internal reimbursement policies for payers as needed to ensure best practice in revenue capture for assigned facilities.
- Ensures successful training, development and performance management of A/R team members and ensures necessary SOPs are in place to protect integrity of work performed
- Conducts revenue cycle analysis and trending, supporting executive level reporting and analysis of team performance including key performance indicators, annual goals, and other operational metrics making continual assessments of operations performance and progress.
- Address performance gaps as needed.
- Supports revenue cycle by monitoring managed care, third party reimbursement, and accounts receivable management, including bad debt and cash collections; adhering to and anticipating changes in Federal and State reimbursement regulations.
- Accomplishes strategies by determining accountabilities, communicating, and enforcing values, policies, and procedures. Will be expected to implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies, as well as resolve problems and initiate corrective actions.
- Collaborate with multi department operations and physician leadership to resolve specific revenue cycle issues or challenges
- Serve as support for operations, and key leadership roles
- Act as interim revenue cycle leader for CBO if needed
- Mentor employees to support their growth and development, specifically Directors and Managers.
- Lead through influence, to align leadership with overall RCM goals/strategy.

Required Skills:
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of previous RCM management experience in a large multi-specialty group, an Ambulatory Surgical Center or Outpatient hospital preferred
- Demonstrates competence in management and leadership skills to develop and implement organizational strategies and opportunities for improving ASC growth.
- Maintain current knowledge and adhere to appropriate regulatory standards such as Medicare.
- Ability to analyze data and develop systems to accurately control financial activity within a surgical center setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Project management and operational implementation skills are a must.
- Ability to meet critical deadlines.
- Expert level experience with Microsoft Office Products- ability to create and build spreadsheets and reports in Excel.
