Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst (Remote in the US or hybrid based if local to Dallas, TX)
Dallas, Texas, RemoteThe successful implementation and maintenance of the Cerner EHR system and future solutions and technology requires individuals with a broad knowledge of both the clinical and business applications of the system. The Revenue Cycle Analyst will be required to assist hospital managers, end users, and other members of the USPI EHR revenue cycle management (RCM) and supply chain management (CIM) analyst team in implementing new Cerner solutions, implementing Cerner in new USPI hospitals as well as maintaining the existing solutions, problem solving, education and training of both incumbent and new staff, testing and implementation of fixes, and evaluating and planning for the installation and integration of new technology.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide necessary support of the RCM and CIM solutions to end users.
- Maintains the Cerner Scheduling Solution for 14 hospitals. This includes updating block scheduling templates and the creation/maintenance of appointment types, scheduling resources and appointment books
- Maintains the Cerner Registration Solutions for 14 hospitals. This includes the creation and maintenance of Registration Worklists, Conversations, Conversation rules and the Bedboard
- Maintains workflow functions in the Cerner Patient Accounting Solution. This includes new user set ups for CBO staff, systematic workflow creation and maintenance and the creation and maintenance of billing rules.
- Assists with the maintenance of an enterprise charge master for 14 hospitals
- Assists with the maintenance of the Cerner Supply Chain solution for 14 hospitals. This includes the addition and maintenance of new vendors and new supply items.
- Prepare test strategy documents and specifications and manages program testing to validate that the system works as designed and meets customer expectations.
Required:
- Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Ability to perform detailed and diversified duties including prioritization of high volume/deadline workload
- Possess the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous project tasks and deadlines in an implementation and production environment
- Effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with other EHR team professionals and hospital management in all aspects of the responsibilities of the implementation project.
- Must work with all departments, vendors, and project teams to implement and maintain a high quality, process driven solution that meets the process and technology requirements for USPI hospitals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Extensive knowledge of Cerner revenue cycle solutions including but not limited to (ProFit, claims processing, patient billing, charge services, patient registration and coding)
Preferred:
- Possess the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous project tasks and deadlines in an implementation and production environment.
- Familiarity with CPT Codes, HCPCS
- Ability to mentor to EHR analysts and team members on a technical level that they can comprehend.
- Experience in a health care setting or managed care organization
- Previous experience with Cerner revenue cycle solutions, supply chain solution, and pmOffice solution
- Bachelor’s/Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
- HFMA CRCR certification
Compensation
- Pay: $89,440 - $143,104 annually. Compensation depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
- Management level positions may be eligible for sign-on and relocation bonuses.
