The USPI Accounts Payable Specialist, Check Writer will be responsible for the following:
- Process all facility payment runs that are received
- Run payment detail reports, by facility for all payments processed
- Verify that the electronic email approval data balances to Oracle data
- Verify facility cash balance from their daily cash log
- Contact facilities that submit payment runs that have issues
- Works with Treasury Dept to verify cash transfers
- Resolve issues for payment batches based on workflow email status
- Stuff and meter all checks going into US Postal Service
- Log information in the bulk mail pickup log for the third-party pickup service.
- Fed Ex requested checks back to the facilities
- Support AP Processors, complete assigned tasks, and duties
- Review/resolve invoices in the facilities payables scan drive held folder for home office facilities
- Support and backup Corporate Payables with invoice entry and creating payment batches
- Assist AP Director and AP Manager with special projects
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of accounts payable experience is required.
- 1-2 years Oracle experience is preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting; be a self –starter as well as be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Effective time management, excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of various software (Oracle, Envi, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet software, etc.).
- Communicate effectively with Facility Staff and Managers.
